Program Overview


Our Pre-Season Goalkeeper Training Camp is designed to help goalkeepers prepare for the upcoming fall season in a focused, purposeful and challenging training environment.


This camp provides specialized goalkeeper training designed to sharpen technical skills, improve decision-making, build confidence and ensure goalkeepers are ready to perform when league play begins.


Training sessions are structured to replicate the demands of real matches while building the habits and consistency required for successful goalkeeping.


  • U8 – U18 Goalkeepers

  • This camp is designed for goalkeepers who regularly play in goal and are committed to improving their game.

  • Whether you're looking to build confidence in the position, refine your technique or prepare for the upcoming season, our coaching staff will provide the guidance and challenge needed to help you develop.

  • Players will be grouped appropriately based on age, experience and ability to ensure the best possible learning environment.

  • Out-of-club players are welcome.

  • This camp runs over five days.

  • U8–U11: 10:00am to 12:00pm

  • U12–U18: 1:00pm to 3:00pm

  • Groups may be adjusted based on registration numbers to ensure an appropriate training environment.

  • Goalkeepers will be grouped with suitable ages and development levels.

  • Please arrive a few minutes early so players can be ready to start on time.

Each day will focus on helping goalkeepers sharpen their technical skills, improve decision-making and build confidence through focused goalkeeper-specific training.


Technical Sharpness

Goalkeepers will refine the core skills required for consistent performances:

  • Handling and catching

  • Diving techniques

  • Footwork and movement efficiency

  • Shot stopping

  • 1v1 situations

  • Crosses and aerial balls

 

Distribution and Modern Goalkeeping

Goalkeepers will develop the skills needed to contribute to team possession and build-up play:

  • Passing under pressure

  • Receiving with both feet

  • Goal kicks 

  • Throwing techniques

  • Playing as an additional defender


Pre-Season Conditioning

Goalkeeper-specific fitness activities will help players prepare physically for the demands of the

season:

  • Explosive movement

  • Reaction speed

  • Agility

  • Recovery and repeat actions

  • Match-intensity scenarios


Competitive Match Scenarios

Goalkeepers will regularly train in realistic game situations including:

  • Small-group tactical exercises

  • Finishing exercises

  • Functional goalkeeper training

  • Pressure situations

  • Goalkeeper Wars competitions

  • Soccer boots or turf boots

  • Shin guards

  • Goalie gloves

  • Water bottle (name clearly labelled)

  • Appropriate clothing

  • Snack if needed

  • $275

Sessions are delivered in a structured, high-intensity environment with clear expectations and purposeful coaching. Players will be challenged to think, compete, and improve, while still being supported through feedback, learning and reflection.


The aim is not just to work hard, but to help players understand the game more deeply and perform with greater confidence and consistency.
