Program Overview
16 Week Skills Academy: The PoCo FC Skills Academy is designed to provide every player with an additional opportunity to develop their individual technical ability in a fun, challenging and supportive learning environment.
Open to all PoCo FC players, the Skills Academy follows the club's Playing Philosophy and Technical Development Curriculum, helping players build confidence on the ball while improving their decision-making, creativity and game understanding.
Led by PoCo FC's Technical Staff, each session provides high-quality coaching with an emphasis on long-term player development, ensuring players receive the additional practice needed to maximize their potential.
Who It’s For
The PoCo FC Skills Academy is open to all PoCo FC players from U8–U13, regardless of playing level or experience.
Whether players are looking to improve their technical ability, gain extra touches on the ball or prepare for the next stage of their development, the Skills Academy provides an excellent environment to learn and improve.
Players are grouped by age to ensure sessions remain appropriate, engaging and challenging.
Schedule and Times
All sessions run on Monday evenings
U8 to U10 - 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
U11 to U18 - 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Gates Park Artificial Turf Field #1 (Red border)
Please arrive a few minutes early so players can be ready to start on time.
What to Expect Each Week
Throughout the 16-week program, players will follow a structured curriculum covering the key technical and tactical foundations of the game.

Technical Theme of the Week
1v1 & Small Group Activities
Game-Based Practices
Small-Sided Games
Players will be encouraged to play with confidence, solve problems, make quick decisions and express themselves in possession while developing within a positive and enjoyable learning environment.
