PoCo FC Skills Academy (U7–U13)

Date & Location

September 14 - January 25

Gates Park - Turf Field #1

Program Overview

The PoCo FC Skills Academy is open to children of all abilities who want another opportunity to get on the field, learn and develop.

Sessions focus on individual skills including ball mastery, dribbling, passing, receiving, 1v1s, finishing and small-sided games.

The goal is to give children more time on the ball, more opportunities to make decisions and an environment where they can build confidence and enjoy learning the game.

Children will train in age and ability-appropriate groups so they can learn and be challenged at a level that is right for them.

16-Week Player Development Program

Some kids finish practice and still want the ball. They want another game, another shot and another chance to play.

If your child is always looking for a little more soccer, this program is for them.

Gaz has designed the full 16-week program and is on the field every Monday.

Every session has a purpose. Each week builds on the last.

Monday Skills Academy is open to U7–U13 players born 2014–2020.

Players from PoCo FC and other clubs are welcome.

This program is for players who:

  • Love playing soccer

  • Want another opportunity to improve

  • Enjoy being challenged

  • Want to build their skills

  • Want to grow in confidence

Players will start in age-appropriate groups.

Every child develops differently. Coaches can adjust groups when needed so each player is being challenged at the right level.

New for 2026/27 – U7

We are adding U7 players for the first time.

Families have been asking for more opportunities at this age.

This is for U7 players who love soccer and are looking for a little more challenge.

Sessions will stay age appropriate. The focus will be on the ball, movement, creativity, confidence and having fun.

All sessions run on Monday evenings at Gates Park.
