Summer Development Camp (U5-U7)
The PoCo FC Summer Fun Camp is designed for our youngest players and is all about creating a positive first experience with soccer.

Program Overview

Delivered as a PoCo FC program in partnership with MCR Soccer Coaching, the camp focuses on movement, confidence and learning through play in a safe and supportive environment.
Sessions are active, playful and built around imagination. Players will get plenty of chances to explore, try new things and enjoy being on the ball while developing basic soccer skills, coordination and confidence.
The goal is to help every child feel comfortable, included and excited to come back each day.
Who It’s For
U5 to U7
This camp is a great fit for children who are new to soccer or who want a fun and active week during the summer. All levels are welcome and players will be grouped in a way that supports confidence, inclusion and a positive experience for everyone.

U5–U7: 10:00am to 12:00pm

Please arrive a few minutes early so players can be ready to start on time.
What to Expect Each Day
Each day is designed to keep players moving, smiling and engaged with lots of opportunities to explore the game through play.
Players will take part in:
Movement activities that build balance, coordination and confidence (running, jumping, turning and changing direction)
Simple ball work to help players become comfortable dribbling, stopping and controlling the ball
Fun, imaginative games that keep players active while introducing basic soccer ideas
Playful 1v1 moments that encourage confidence and creativity on the ball
Small-sided games (2v2, 3v3) that allow players to experience real soccer in a simple, enjoyable way with lots of touches
The focus is not on getting things “right,” but on helping players feel confident trying, learning and enjoying the game.

Coaching and Environment
This camp is coached in a way that keeps the experience fun, welcoming and encouraging for all players. Coaches use simple instruction, positive language and lots of play to help children feel comfortable and included.
We focus on effort, enjoyment and confidence helping players build early habits and a love for being active and on the field.
Our aim is that every child leaves the session feeling happy, included and excited to come back the next day.
