Our U11 to U13 Spring Academy is an 8-week program aligned with Canada Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development framework, supporting players in the Learn to Train stage of development.

Program Overview


Our U11 to U13 Spring Academy is an 8-week program aligned with Canada Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development framework, supporting players in the Learn to Train stage of development. Sessions build on individual skill development and positional play, helping players develop a deeper understanding of the game through both attacking and defending principles. Training emphasizes decision-making, awareness, and applying skills in real game moments.


Who It’s For

  • U11 - U13


This program is designed for players who want to keep learning, stay active, and enjoy the game in a positive training environment. Players are grouped in a way that supports appropriate challenge and meaningful repetition, helping them grow in confidence, focus, and understanding of their role on the field.

Schedule and Times

All sessions run on Monday evenings.

  • U11: 6:00pm to 6:55pm

  • U12 and U13: 7:00pm to 7:55pm


Scheduling note: Times may change based on registration numbers. Some age groups may be combined to create the best training environment, and only appropriate ages will be grouped together.

  • May 4, 11, 25

  • June 1, 8

  • ** No session on May 18, 2026

Location

  • Gates Park Artificial Turf Field #1 (Red border)

  • Please arrive a few minutes early so players can be ready to start on time.

What to Expect Each Week

Players will develop through game-like training and small-sided play that helps connect individual skills to team play and decision-making.

  • Lots of touches and purposeful repetition

  • Skill development that carries into real game situations

  • Situational play that builds awareness, responsibility, and focus

  • Training that encourages communication, collaboration, and problem-solving as a team

What to Bring

  • Soccer boots or turf boots

  • Shin guards

  • Water bottle (name clearly labelled)

  • Weather-appropriate clothing

Cost

  • $180 (t-shirt included)

  • T-shirt size is selected during registration

Coaching and Environment

Spring Academy sessions are organized, active, and delivered in a way that keeps the experience welcoming and encouraging. Coaches use clear instruction and positive feedback to help players improve week to week while developing confidence and a stronger understanding of the game.

How Registration Works

  • Spring Academy registration will close on April 6, 2026.

  • Late registrations are welcome if space allows. If you join after the program starts, fees stay the same.
