U5 Fall–Winter Program
Sessions are play-based and focus on helping children become more comfortable moving with the ball.
Date & Location
September - March
1379 Laurier Ave, Port Coquitlam - Minnekhada Oval
Program Overview

Activities encourage dribbling, stopping, turning, and simple ball control through games that feel fun and engaging. At this age, the focus is on building confidence, curiosity, and enjoyment as players begin to explore soccer in a supportive group setting.
Who It’s For
This program is for children who are under 5 years old as of December 31 of the calendar year. No prior soccer experience is needed. It’s designed for first-time players and children who are continuing to build confidence in group activities and organized play.
Need an accommodation or additional support? Please contact us at timbits@pocosoccer.com and we will work with families respectfully and confidentially to reduce barriers to participation.
Parent/Guardian Role
Parents and guardians are not required to be on the field during U5 sessions but should remain on site and nearby in case their child needs support.
Your role is to help your child feel safe and confident, offer encouragement from the sideline when needed, and support smooth transitions such as water breaks or equipment changes. No soccer experience is required. Coaches will lead the session and guide players through all activities.
