U6 Fall–Winter Program

U6 is the next step after U5 and is designed for children who are ready for a little more structure while still learning through play.

Date & Location

September - March

1379 Laurier Ave, Port Coquitlam - Minnekhada Oval

Program Overview

Sessions focus on building confidence with the ball through dribbling, turning, stopping, passing, and include simple small sided games to introduce teamwork in an age appropriate way. Children will start to connect their skills to simple team play and leave each session feeling proud of what they can do.

Who It’s For

This program is for children who are under 6 years old as of December 31 of the calendar year. No prior soccer experience is needed. U6 is a great fit for both new players and returning players who are ready to build on the skills introduced in U5.

Need an accommodation or additional support? Please contact us at timbits@pocosoccer.com and we will work with families respectfully and confidentially to reduce barriers to participation.

Parent/Guardian Role

Parents and guardians are not required to be on the field during U6 sessions but should remain on site and nearby in case their child needs support.

Your role is to help your child feel safe and confident, offer encouragement from the sideline when needed, and support smooth transitions such as water breaks or equipment changes. No soccer experience is required. Coaches will lead the session and guide players through all activities.
