U7 Fall–Winter Program
U7 is the natural progression from U6. Sessions continue to be fun and play-based, with a bit more structure to help children build stronger ball control and begin making simple decisions in small-sided games.
Date & Location
September - March
1379 Laurier Ave, Port Coquitlam - Minnekhada Oval
Program Overview

Players practice dribbling, turning, stopping, and passing while learning how to find space, share the ball, and work with teammates in an age-appropriate way. Children continue to build confidence in their skills and enjoy the excitement of playing and learning together as a team.
Who It’s For
This program is for children who are under 7 years old as of December 31 of the calendar year. No prior soccer experience is needed. U7 is a great fit for both new players and returning players who are ready to build on the skills introduced in U6.
Need an accommodation or additional support? Please contact us at timbits@pocosoccer.com and we will work with families respectfully and confidentially to reduce barriers to participation.
Parent/Guardian Role
Parents and guardians are not required to be on the field during the sessions but should remain on site and nearby in case their child needs support.
Your role is to help your child feel safe and confident, offer encouragement from the sideline when needed, and support smooth transitions such as water breaks or equipment changes. No soccer experience is required. Coaches will lead the session and guide players through all activities.
